It seems like only yesterday when we were setting our target for 2017. For the 3rd year in a row we wanted to grow with more than 50% in projects and customers. Sounded like a real challenge. Yet we managed to achieve these ambitious goals once more thanks to a fantastic team effort.
Both the team in Toronto and Ghent put in extraordinary efforts to support this growth. To further improve our software and help our customers in the best possible way, we welcomed 11 new people this year.
As a recognition for our efforts we were nominated for the Flanders Investment & Trade ‘Export lion Awards 2017’ and were included in the ‘BBC FTTH Top 100’ list.
Research and development has been at the forefront at the Comsof since our initial years. This year we started working on a GIS Based Utility Network planning and design software for district heating and cooling networks, smart-grid communication networks and electrical power grids. The beta version for DHC network planning is now available and we are looking for partners to co-develop all the solutions.
We continue the development of our FiberPlanIT solutions. This year we also introduced the FiberPlanIT Engineer. This is a product extension for the Designer that automates the low-level design and creation of to-build plans. Our FiberPlanIT products now cover the whole process from planning to construction. We focus closely on the needs of the telecom market and try to incorporate that in our softwares through innovation.
Most importantly, I want to thank our customers for their trust and close collaboration. Their feedback allows us to further improve our software and services. In 2018, we will continue to serve our customers to our full potential and try to find the solutions for the challenges faced by them in planning, designing and building FTTx and utility networks.
With all of this in mind, we are excited to kick off 2018 and make it a successful year!
Happy holidays from the whole team
